The Running Parent

By Great Run Team

As a parent, fitting in time to run can often be difficult, but our friends at Run Mummy Run have found some brilliant ways to make time for training without having to compromise family time!

An early morning run

The majority of our runs are a 9:00am or 9:30am start, meaning that you'll be back home before the afternoon has begun to enjoy the rest of the day with the family. On top of that you'll also feel energized and better about yourself because of your morning's exercise.

Buggy Running

If you have a baby or young children you could try running with a buggy. The majority of our courses are buggy friendly, so why not take your little one out for some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors together!

A family affair

With the option of both a 2k and a 5k, why not bring the whole family along for a run and enjoy being active together! If one of you isn't all that keen on running, then pop on the branded blue uniform and cheer the rest of the family around the course!

The important thing to remember is not to worry too much about how you're going to fit your training in. There are plenty of ways to link family time with running and remember, a short run is better than no run at all!
